I was the Administrative Team Supervisor managing a team of four staff, responsible for organising the trainer's workloads and arranging sufficient materials for their students attending their courses. The role also incorporated a great deal of estates and facilities work, looking after the department and the building. I used to liaise with contractors and suppliers on a regular basis, negotiating contracts and meeting company representatives.

Hertford Police Station

I was working as a Supervisor where I trained and managed twelve members of staff in the Safety Camera Unit for Hertfordshire Constabulary. I worked closely with an external management team to help set up and establish this new department, writing manuals for policies and procedures and new letter templates.I was responsible for multi-skilling my team whilst evaluating speeding offences and deciding the best course of action for each offender. I liaised on a regular basis with the Fixed Penalty Office and Criminal Justice Unit for resolution and prosecutions.

Hertford Police Station

A natural progression from fixed Penalty Office. I used to record Parking Tickets and Speeding Tickets onto the VPFPO (PentiP) system. I used to liaise with customers by telephone or letter and having read their mitigation, would make the decision to either request payment or seek advice from the Criminal Justice Unit whether or not to prosecute.

I worked in Fixed Penalty processing payments for minor traffic offences including Parking tickets and Speeding. I used to endorse driving licences with Penalty Points and liaise with the Central Ticket Office for best course of action resulting in payments or prosecutions.At the same time I was working on the front counter receiving monies for fines from offenders. Duties included liaising with customers at the counter, telephone and by letter. I used to write letters and do the banking at the end of the day.
