I am assigned as the Firearms Instructor, Training Coordinator and oversee all Reserve Officers.I have 27 years of Law Enforcement experience (16 Full Time Paid) with several law enforcement departments; I currently hold a master peace officer certificate, with over 1850 TCLEOSE Hours, including Firearms and Instructors License, Marine Safety Enforcement Officer, Field Training Officer and Management/Supervision Courses and Special Operations course. I have taught Criminal Justice courses along with inter-department training and in the public school system. I have completed over numerous FEMA courses, including ICS 300 and 400. I am certified in Search and Rescue. The Operations Officer plans, directs, coordinates and executes operational events involving the Texas State Guard (TXSG). In addition, the position serves as the Texas State Guard’s central point of contact for interagency operational planning in support of the Texas Military Forces. The Operations Officer insures the TXSG is prepared to execute missions in support of the state of Texas at all times.I am tasked to handle the following:Analyzes operational planning and mission execution by all four major commands of the TXSG.Recommends and implements procedural or policy changes to improve operations readiness.Insures the coordination between Texas Military Forces Domestic Operations Headquarters and the TXSG Headquarters are executable at all times.Critical member of the Texas State Guard’s budget forecasting process team.Plans and coordinates the training forecast process based upon mission tasking from the Texas Military Forces Domestic Operations Headquarters.Collects, organizes, analyses and prepares materials in response to requests for program information and reports.Responsible for reporting TXSG readiness to include all command level reports requirements.Serves as the principle action officer; reviews all incoming/outgoing messages from the Joint Operations Center (JOC) of the Texas Military Forces.Responsible for the Texas State Guard’s Emergency Operations Cell during State activations.Plans and negotiates with federal, state and local authorities regarding TXSG operations and the impact on the agency.Provides TXSG Headquarters Operational inspection support during Command, unit level inspections.

I am currently assigned as the Operations Officer of the Texas Maritime Regiment, where I plan and coordinate operations and training to enable the Regiment to operate and accomplish its mission. This includes sustaining the unit's operations, working with the N-5 in planning future operations, and additional planning and executing all unit training associated with other state agencies. I track all training within the assigned battalions to ensure they are following the training standards and procedures for accreditation and certification. I have authored or developed the following:• Training and Readiness Manual• Training Process and Procedures Instructions• Maritime Boat Operators Course" (The Regiment's Primary Mission) • Training Data Base (Software program that allows the user to track incident Qualifications, Training, Experience, Target Positions, Task Books and Fitness Levels for individuals throughout the Regiment). The Training Data Base will allow Command Personnel to analyze the on-going training of personnel to meet the needs of the Regiment's mission requirements and to schedule training based upon the needs of the State of Texas.• Worked with the Texas Forestry Service, State Fireman's and Fire Marshall's Association (SFFMA) and Texas Intrastate Fire Mutual Aid System (TIFMAS), to accredited the Wildland Fire Fighters.
