About Robert Gregory

Every success story is a tale of constant adaption, revision and change - Richard Branson.My working life began in telesales at the age of 17 after becoming fixated on the bright lights of the city. Talking to people came very naturally, I felt comfortable and I seemed to have an answer for every objection. From an early age I was always interested in technology, which eventually drove me into a more technical role within the office equipment space. I quickly became an expert in high end office print devices and eventually the software that controlled them. From an early age I would often do everything I could to take on more responsibility, including training, customer meetings, sales meetings and so on, I was career hungry and driven to succeed. At 25 I was at a crossroads, I loved all things Sales and felt confident I would be a success, however I also enjoyed the tech side. After a conversation with my then mentor, and leader, I decided to move into what was a mix of both - Presales! This would give me the technical side of things which I always enjoyed, but also fulfill my desire to be an integral part of the sales process. After immersing myself into the world of Presales over the next 5 years, helping with significant Document Services wins. At the age of 30 I moved into a leadership position, leading and developing Professional Services teams within two organisations. My leadership style is a mix of empowerment and inspiration, with a push towards responsibility and self awareness. After a steep learning curve, including a mix of training as well as being "thrown in the deep end". I had many successes throughout the following 7 years, however in 2021 the Print & Document services industry was hit hard by the global pandemic, and I decided it was time to finally get out of my comfort zone, and jump into the world of Cloud/SaaS technology. In early 2022 I stepped back from management to finally make my move into a more Sales focused role within a new industry - I began my adventure into the world of CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management) with the leader in the space, Icertis. So today I focus on future technologies that genuinely interest me. Cloud, AI, Machine Learning, and Document Automation, ultimately true digital transformation with regards to the most powerful & important document within business - The Contract.
