Training in hotel manager role

In training as Hotel Manager while filling the role as the interim.

I operate the front desk reception, handling arriving and departing guests, any requests they may have during their stay and any other incoming reservations made either online or ove the phone.

working the over-night shift I was in charge of the safety of the hotel, balancing the audit for the day's sales between the hotel and the bar & restaurant. I would handle late arriving and early departing guest, and any request or complaints throughout the evening.

Since November of 2016 I have been backpacking around the world while writing a blog on an almost weekly basis. The blog includes taking in the local sights, meeting and training with the local gyms and eating local foods. Sometimes I stay at a host's house other times I stay at a hostel. Videos of seeing the sights, as well as videos of class training and interviews with instructors or hosts, are made for the blog when the chance presents itself.

Leading a team of up to 7 engineers to complete time sensitive tasks.Conducting required and preventive maintenance in order to keep the plant running smoothly.Recognizing machinery operating out of safety parameters while working independently, making required corrections and relaying these findings and actions to management.

Managing and promoting my self-run business making custom clothing.Leading up to 20 people while coordinating a promotion event such as a fashion show.Communicating with clients to make sure their exact demands are met for each contract.

Coordinating with bands and other talent the loading and unloading of their equipment for sound check and performances.Overseeing and maintaining the inventory and cleanliness of the bar during day to day operation.Recognizing and confronting security issues while maintaining a safe environment for customers.

Managing day to day operations of the store such as money handling, inventory placement and storefront displays.Maintaining inventory count and store finances and reporting those findings to the store owner for re-order when necessary.Communicating and dealing with costumer relations during day to day operations.

Managing and directing talent such as dancers, models and musicians for nightly events.Leading and coordinating up to 100 people for a semi-annual event night.
