Direct all logistical, sales, and administrative aspects of AAM’s annual tradeshow, MuseumExpo™. Develop and manage association sponsorship activities; advertising sales for Museum, the bookstore catalogue, the Aviso e-newsletter, online advertising, and meeting programs; and exposition forums held in conjunction with professional development workshops.Manage the creation, design, printing, and mailing of marketing pieces and e-mail blasts to support over 20 revenue centers that generate more than $2,000,000 annually.Spearheaded a new sponsorship program for the association. Responsibilities included all marketing and promotional efforts, onsite operations and site management, budget, exhibitor workshops and sessions, billing, journal advertisement, exhibitor prospectus, rate cards, final programs, suppliers guide, database management, and correspondence for the department. While supervising, my duties included:•Served as the onsite show manager at four to six conventions per year with an estimated attendance of over 20,000. Problem-solved all aspects of convention hall and served as onsite liaison for staff needs.•Exceeded sales goals for advertising and exhibits.•Initiated and managed a sponsorship campaign.•Negotiated contracts with decorators, security, florists, catering, and lead retrieval tracking systems; maintained the relationships; and oversaw the services provided.•Ensured proper placement of ads in all association publications by managing staff liaison among advertising companies, ad agencies, and publications staff.•Managed all workshop sessions and room assignments.•Worked with hotels and housing bureaus to ensure housing and suite needs for all priority exhibitors.•Managed onsite registration and security activities for national and area conventions.•Arranged all concessions, BEO requests, and catering orders for all conventions.•Coordinated all association shipping to and from convention sites. •Negotiated ground and air freight annual contracts.

Responsibilities included marketing, recruiting, and maintaining exhibitor relations for annual convention featuring over 700 booths. Conventions averaged 450+ vendors, 700,000 to 750,000 net square feet, and over 12,000 delegates. Tasks included: •Sponsor and donor development.•Working with exhibit service contractor on the layout of the exhibit and functioning as convention liaison.•Program advertisement and insertion orders.•Compiling exposition directory, classified index, and service manual.•Database and list maintenance, invoices, sales reports, etc.•Maintenance of online exhibitor registration, housing links, vendor database, and classified index.•Site security and AV speaker/panel requests.

Managed department responsible for recruiting executives and students to 14 different training conferences.
