Educated students and parents about colleges, the college admissions process, procedures, and testing; advising and supporting students and families as they wenr through the process of university application. Met with juniors and seniors, individually and in groups, to talk about application processes, essay writing and individual college choices. Worked with international students to understand Western university admissions, especially aspects unique to their interests. Met and hosted college admissions representatives who visited CMIS and facilitated meetings between college representatives and students. Managed academic records and ensured security of communication between CMIS and other institutions of higher education. Completed role as college counselor in July 2017. Beginning July 2015 taught IBDP History HL/SL courses and developed curriculum in accordance with state and IBO standards in preparation for IB external examinations. Challenged students to practice the skills of the historian by focusing on historiography, inquiry, research analysis, and evaluation of multiple perspectives to drive historical conclusion. Aimed to help students make connections of historical events to the current world and multiple disciplines including philosophy, literature, economics, business management and political science.

Represented CMIS to the larger international school community. Collaborated regularly with the international school community in regards to planning, mediation, implementation, and execution of events involving a collborative body of over 2500 students and more than 150 educators.

Taught grade 6-8 MYP Humanities courses and developed curriculum in accordance with state and IBO standards. Exceeded curriculum standards through a variety of instructional approaches and a wide range of assessment strategies. Coordinated Carden MYP Model United Nations and was widely active in the school community, as member of multiple school committees.

Supervised and coordinated school interscholastic and intramural athletic programs, ensuring proper event scheduling, quality coaching, student enjoyment and development. Provided athletic coaching to multiple interscholastic teams to promote athlete social and physical growth, teambuilding, communication, and healthy competition.
