Research Paralegal
Current• In charge of up to four projects simultaneously, prioritizing assignments from six attorneys and 46 local counsel with rapidly changing deadlines and scope• Establishes and manages working relationships and collaborates / escalates as necessary with attorneys and paralegals from local counsel to expedite emergency searches, leverage subject matter expertise, and develop consensus on wording and presentation of material• Successfully leverages expertise and input from multiple stakeholders, attorneys, and subject matter experts to produce continuity documents regarding research procedures and document production (Compilation and indexing of documentation related to a specific case requested by plaintiff’s counsel)• Under tight deadlines, meticulously investigates claims of product liability using multiple databases and communicates findings through email and memoranda for up to 6 attorneys and 46 local counsels• Utilizes Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe to view, catalogue, and distribute documents and information to stakeholders and subject matter experts• Exercises security procedures and discretion regarding use, storage, and dissemination of government documents that are declassified or classified as NOFORN (Not Releasable to Foreign Nationals)• Coordinates with firm staff and attorneys to aid in special projects, including billing, digitization of hardcopy files, and database creation and enhancement
