After my contract expired with Logic BV, Telfort employed me to continue my work and ensure that the hand-over of configuration from Logic to Telfort was a smooth and controlled process. I have also become involved with the integration of National Roaming, Number Portability, and convergence of the fixed 1616 service into the mobile billing platform. As Telfort were using three separate instances of the Kenan Billing Platform, my responsibilities were extended to include the supervision and strategy review of the work being performed by an outside vendor for the Mobile Virtual Private Network (MVPN) billing system. This entailed careful assessment and review of the build, processes and deliverable’s presented to Telfort. Through my review and analysis the launch of an inadequate billing platform was prevented. The launch of MVPN did proceed smoothly some months later without impacting the corporate clients after my redefining of the deliverable’s.

On September 29 the first real customers where connected, 2 days in advance of the set launch date and less than six months of the license being granted.My role is to advise Logic BV and Telfort on the configuration of Telfort Mobile billing platform. This entails data modelling, environment set-up, configuration, analysis of and implementation of a billing system, from the point of provisioning through to guiding and rating of home and roaming call records, to producing accounting and journal information, to collections and payments. On top of this I am advising Telfort of the possible products and packages the billing system can currently bring to market and what added functionality future releases hold.
