I started up the QA department from the ground up. I implemented both black box and white box testing methodologies. I implemented and assisted in the design of an issue tracking system that we used for 6 years. I implemented a Beta Program to work with customers for testing our software. I evaluated and implemented an automated testing software. I developed test plans for all QA testers for .Net, WEB and Visual Basic Applications. Utilize Automated Testing scripts to test all .Net, WEB and Visual Basic Applications. Create and evaluate both Technical and End-User Documentation. Work with Project Management to create Product Release schedules. Report to Project Management on status of current projects to ensure deadlines are met. Work directly with development to discuss QA testing methodologies to ensure that the test cases are adequately testing the product being developed. Work with Technical support on ways to troubleshoot the software and customer environment to resolve customer issues or to provide as much details as possible if issue is to be turned over to development.

Supervise a team of 4 IT professionals to ensure that the day to day operations of the internal and external networks function properly. The IT team is responsible for network monitoring of our COLO facility that houses 460+ school districts across 28 states. I have setup automated network monitoring using PA Monitor on all external and internal equipment.  We monitor services, disk drives, CPU utilization and other key essential functions. Setup VMWare ESX and ESXi hosts. Negotiate vendor contracts and services.Create a disaster recovery plan. Negotiated and implemented new CALLIS/CSPIRE IP phone systems to replace our existing PBX system.

I started up the requirements department that bridged the gap between estimations and functionality gaps between Product Management and Development.   My team reviews the change requests desired by PM and turn those into a working document that Development can use to properly estimate the scope of a project and use that document as the basis for their design specifications. Work with state departments to document business and functional requirements for state reporting. Work with state focus groups to document pain points and needs to further assist Product Management in recommending the next set of change requests. Used the requirement documentation to aid in the initial QA test plans. Train the documentation department on new features so that they can adequately keep the end user documentation up to date.

Team Lead in charge of creating new test procedures and update of test procedures that may result from prior issues reported from the field. Responsible for ensuring the quality of all Minolta-QMS products before they are released to the public. These duties include training and overseeing a team of Interns on hardware and software testing of our product. I ensured that my team had a thorough knowledge of the Applications and the Operating Systems in order to perform their jobs effectively. Configure LAN Installation for Network testing of all QMS printers. Responsible for testing and obtaining Microsoft Certification on all Minolta-QMS printers. Responsible for training level 1 engineers on printer setups and network configurations. This included training local technicians and traveling to Boulder, CO. to train IBM technicians.
