I was admitted to the legal profession in December 2004, after completing 2 years as an articled clerk (one of the last) prior to that. Key fields of work: - Acting for large public and private entities including managed funds and superannuation funds managers in relation to an array of property transactions - leasing, acquisitions and disposals, in relation to retail, industrial and office assets;- Leasing of substantial Brisbane office assets on behalf of large private and listed landholders, involving dealings with similarly large national and international tenants; - Supervising junior staff in relation to high volume leasing transactions; - Acting for operators in the hospitality and pubs industry; acting for large private entities and funds managers in the acquisition and disposal of pubs and hotels across both metropolitan and regional Queensland locations;- Advising in relation to regulatory and legislative compliance matters relating to the above fields of works, including in relation to the Airports Act 1997, Liquor Act 1992, Gaming Machine Act 1994 and Retail Shop Leases Act 1994.- Acting in rural transactions involving large cattle/sheep properties. In addition, I have been approached for insights and commentary regarding the various industries in which I work by publications such as Mondaq, Australian Institute of Company Directors magazine, the Australian Financial Review and ABC Radio. In 2024, I was give 'One to Watch' recognition by Best Lawyers Australia.
