I have worked in Canadian Media Analysis, Business Affairs, Policy, and Research for over two decades. I am currently a Marketing Research Analyst at Pelmorex, home of The Weather Network and theweathernework.comFor the last nine years, I have been with CBC/Radio-Canada as a sales research and insights manager overseeing television and web/digital audience insights, media sales, content performance, audience engagement, licensing and distribution support. Applying my deep knowledge of Canadian audio and video content production, I oversaw a pro team who provided support for a diverse set of corporate needs. I worked closely with stakeholders including policy makers, producers, sales, licensing, and aquisitions in order to guide strategy, increase revenue and elevate brand. At CBC I was regularly involved in industry analysis, audience insights, data analysis, data management (PowerBI, Google Looker), and web/digital insights (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics). Previous to this, for over a decade, I was a senior analyst for the Policy Planning and Research Department at Telefilm Canada. This tenure afforded me a deep understanding of Canadian feature film and television financing structures, production, development, envelopes, etc, I was also able to build on experience in data synthesis, marrying television audience data, feature film box office numbers, digital web analytics and production budgets into singular data stories. My reporting helped guide allocations for funding, policy and planning. Along with mutli-faceted analysis and policy guidance, I provided written copy on many levels for the corporation, notably for our annual reporting, for which I was an active participant on several award winning annual reports which were tabled in parliament. I have many tools and skills at my disposal. I am an astute team manager, planner and strategizer. I can run television audience analysis (Numeris) and track feature film box office data. I am an advanced user of Adobe Analytics, I am comfortable with Google web analytics, I have used other web/digital insight tools such as Amplitude, Lotame DMP, Chartbeat, and social media listening tools such as Brandwatch. I regularly use syndicated data bases such as comScore, Vividata and Environics Prizm segmentation, along with being comfortable working in Statistics Canada data. I am adept at all the standard tools for advertising sales and marketing including all Television/Radio N-Logic platforms, spot analysis and Salesforce.
