I have always been curious about the world. I initially studied physics and mathematics because it provided a first principles understanding of nature and technology. I became interested in implications of the 2008 financial crisis and was curious about national debt, economic development and economic history. This made me consider the impact of monetary policy and technology on assets and wages. I came to Japan to study international economics, economic development, business in Asia and Japanese. I am fascinated by trade, currency devaluation and demographic issues that face aging societies. I am passionate about decentralisation and blockchain technology as it is changing financial markets and providing access for anyone in the world to financial products. I aim to continue working in a rewarding and exciting (or valuable) data-driven role within the ACCC or similar organisations involving economics and technology. I am currently working on the Mobile Terminating Access Service (MTAS) in the Mobiles and Wireless Markets team at the ACCC.Outside of my studies I enjoy travelling, snowboarding, cycling and learning Japanese.
