I recently retired as Chief of the Section of Occupational and Environmental Medicine of Dartmouth-Hitchcock, where I also was the Medical Director of Dartmouth-Hitchcock’s Live Well/Work Well program, which is a comprehensive, integrated health promotion, disease management and health protection. I currently serve as a Professor of Medicine, Community and Family Medicine, and The Dartmouth Institute of Health Policy and Clinical Practice, Active Emeritus, at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth. I co-chair the Action Collaborative on Business Engagement in Building Healthy Communities, which is a convening mechanism under the auspices of the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine's Roundtable on Population Health Improvement. I am the principal in a consulting company, RKMD Consulting LLC, which provides occupational and environmental health policy and practice consulting services. I have extensive experience as an occupational and environmental medical consultant in a wide range of economic sectors and has maintained a clinical practice in occupational and environmental medicine for close to 40 years. He is a past president of the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine, as well as the New England College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine. I have written extensively and lectured throughout the nation and internationally on a range of issues related to occupational and environmental medicine and received a number of awards from state and national organizations.
