After working my way through John's University, by stocking shelve in a local A&P super market, I started my retail career in 1969. I have held 9 Retail Executive positions with increasing responsibility over a 17 year career at two Fortune 500 companies. I have enjoyed merchandising positions at Federated Department Stores and Spencer Gifts a division of MCA. The positions held at Federated were Buyer of multiple categories and Divisional Merchandise Manager in the Home Division. Positions held at Spencer Gifts were Divisional Merchandise Manager and Director of Merchandising with total company merchandising responsibility reporting directly to the President.In 1986 I ventured into the wholesale side of the business. Sometimes called "The Dark Side".I worked for two entrepreneurial companies, 5 Seasons and Columbia Telecommunications as Vice President of Sales.In 2001 I moved to Maine and decided to form my own corporation Maine Wind Sales with the help of my wife Holly. I became a "Vice President of Sales for Hire" complete with a turn key sales organization of independent Sales Representatives specializing in the Toy Industry. In that capacity I provided my services to several “Toy Companies”for 15 years. I benefited greatly from having worked on both sides of the "retail desk". That transition is not a easy one to master as many know. That being said, if you master that task it becomes a great asset. I retired in 2016. Now, my wife Holly and I continue to enjoy the fruits of life in Maine that a dedicated work ethic yield.
