Satellite Systems Security Manager
CurrentDuties: Satellite Systems Security Manager for the 1st Signal Center, ArmyCyber Operations and Integration Center (ACOIC), Enterprise Management (Infrastructure) Division providing managerial oversight of global wideband/SHF, narrowband/UHF, protected/EHF, and commercial SATCOM assets . In charge of the coordination, oversight and planning of DOD ground and airborne SATCOM terminals for the ACOIC and its six world-wide Theater Network Operations (NetOps) Centers participation in Army and Joint NetOps exercises. Provides definitive technical advice, policy clarification, and assistance in the administrative management of satellite communications security and its contributing role in an information technology environment. Presents daily briefings to the Director contributing operational guidance and assistance on all SATCOM systems and Missile Warning networks on a Staff/General Officer level. Maintains operational oversight of Army military and commercial SATCOM networks, to include MILSTAR, MUOS/UFO, and GBS systems, while offering troubleshooting assistance for distressed communications links as required. Contributes input to training and policy doctrine for Joint and Army-wide SATCOM publications; serves as alternate liaison to USCYBERCOM for Army Cyber DIACAP processes. Implements training guidance to ensure personnel compliance with security and training requirements, standards, and regulations regarding to information networks security within the NETCOM G33 and Army Cyber Command.Accomplishments: Successfully served in the role of ACOIC Sergeant Major in excess of 60 days with positive results.
