Complying with method statements and risk assessments. Performing monthly health and safety checks on hotel emergency equipment including evacuation chairs, assessable room panic alarms and elevator emergency telephones. Train new team members and assist in the development of existing team members. Deal regularly with guests, handling any issues arising within their room. I was also responsible for initiating ships emergency procedures and actions while in port and responsible for making any system isolations resulting from the situation. Other on-board duties included embarkation of fuel oil and hydraulic oil, performing confined space entries and working aloft. Trained and developed junior staff to achieve a high level of system knowledge. As well as my main duties my time spend in the Royal Navy taught me a very high standard of self-discipline, team work, organisational and fire fighting skills. Show less
