My responsibilities as a Regional Sales Manager consist of all task necessary to manage a sales force across a very large geographical area of the United States. I am also responsible for all sales in the States of Texas and Oklahoma.My Region consists of Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California.I am involved with the direction my Team takes with regards to which markets to focus on, how to manage their Territories, make sure they are properly trained, how to apply our products to different applications, how to get their necessary paperwork done and more.I spend much of my time traveling with each Territory Manager giving them support and help where needed. This helps me learn where I need to help them the most. I put together a complete training program for my TEAM to use. This is a very through training program that when used will give them all of the knowledge they need to succeed. I also spend time doing my own work within their Territories developing large accounts, OEM's, and Company Headquarters accounts. This is a very strong part of my success and I use past successes to help each Territory Manager develop this new business. Monthly responsibilities include budget reports, account receivables reports, performance reports of each Territory Manager, Personnel reviews, interviewing for open positions, and more.I travel 4-6 days per each week. My week starts a lot of the time with me leaving my house at 2:00 am on a Monday or Tuesday and arriving back home on a Friday or Saturday at 2:00-3:00 am in the morning. I travel this way to save the company money. I use Priceline to book all Hotels. I save the company even more money this way. I am very strong at listening to what a customer says, finding out his problem, and offering a solution. I really get excited taking an order from my competition.
