Robert was employed with RTM Consultants, Inc. since 2010 as an associate consultant in the health care field. He performed Life Safety Assessments (LSA) and Statement of Conditions (SOC) surveys and analysis for numerous health care clients. He prepared and filed Fire Safety Evaluation System (FSES) based equivalency requests for several facilities. He performed plan review services and construction compliance surveys for a wide range of addition and renovation projects. Robert is a member of the National Fire Protection Association. He is a Certified Fire Protection Specialist, Certified Fire Inspector, and Certified Life Safety Specialist for Health Care Managers through NFPA. Robert is a graduate of Purdue University. He has an Associate’s Degree in Applied Science in Architectural Technology and a Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Technology. Prior to employment with RTM Consultants, Robert was a Construction Contract Administrator and was responsible for maintaining the contractual agreements between owners and contractors. In this role Robert was able to evaluate unforeseen site conditions and provide code-compliant solutions. His experience and knowledge of code requirements enables him to better evaluate the alternatives proposed by the contractors. As a plan examiner in the Indiana Building Commissioner’s Office Robert reviewed projects for all types of commercial construction. As a building code consultant within a private architectural firm, Robert worked primarily with projects for the primary and higher education markets and long-term assisted living facilities. For approximately six years Robert was an Associate State Architect for the State of Indiana. He was responsible for building code and life safety compliance for the hospital and retirement homes owned by the State.
