Senior Finance Officer - Schools Funding
CurrentI am involved with the funding formula for schools. Nursery funding for schools and private providers within the Local authority. High level needs funding for schools, academies and special schools. Making sure that grant funding from other sources goes to schools. Capital allocation and budget advice to schools I also support schools with over financial advice.I also support a number of maintained school within Worcestershire that find themselves with a deficit. Supporting them to reduce this in a manageable way so no to overly risk teaching standards.Other technical systems making sure the systems keep working. My role also completes financial returns to be signed off before returning to the Department for Education and other funding sources.I started as a budget clerk within Worcestershire County Council and have progressed to my present position.
