I am a Massachusetts Maritime Academy alum with an extensive work history in high stress, fast paced environments in the maritime industry. I spent ten years working aboard ships and am currently looking for a new industry to delve into. I still love and am willing to travel however, I am open to new opportunities closer to home and eager to apply my skills in a new industry. My time in the maritime industry was exciting and constantly changing. I was continuously adapting to different environments and colleagues as a result of the company's needs. I became adept at working around these unexpected obstacles through problem solving and collaborating with the ship's changing personnel and voyage plans. We had to prioritize multiple rules, regulations and policies simultaneously with respect to international and domestic laws. On average, I worked with 3-6 organizations daily to maintain the mission and safety for 40+ crew members. In addition, I developed essential skills ranging from the medical, firefighting, and security fields to global route planning and cargo management. I have developed inter personal skills between departments across the globe as a result of my time abroad in the western Pacific Ocean namely Philippines, Japan, Singapore and Guam.
