Mechanic Trainer for Central Ohio Region; work in conjunction with Rumpke’s Corporate Trainer. Stand-in supervisor for absentee or vacationing Maintenance Managers in Central Ohio Region. Plus most of the duties listed in my Republic job description. This division of Republic Services was acquired my Rumpke in 2009 and I maintained by position until December of 2014 when regional re-structuring provided some new career opportunities for me within this company.

Responsible for 14 employees and a fleet of 70 trucks (up to Class 8) and supported several locations within this division including a transfer station, container shop and recycling center. Managed maintenance scheduling, a rigorous PM program, tire fleet inspection program, safety training, inventory control, warranty recovery & overall yearly budget. Maintained DOT compliant trucks and followed all OSHA guidelines. Also performed employees’ annual evaluations.

Helped maintain fleet of 125 waste hauling vehicles through proper troubleshooting and repair while following a scheduled maintenance program. Also fulfilled road calls and carried out welding and fabrication needs.

Repaired and tailored trucks and trailers per customer needs. Class 5-Class 8 vehicles.
