My career involved representing Canada as High Commissioner to Jamaica and The Bahamas, leading international trade negotiations at the WTO as well as regionally and bilaterally. I was Canada's Chief Air Negotiator responsible for Canada's Air Transport Agreements. I have strong record of public consultation, stakeholder engagement and public speaking.In retirement I lead the non-profit Food For The Poor Canada Board to support important development work in the Caribbean and Central AmericaMy exposure to the Caribbean made me appreciate that many (both Canada and the Caribbean) take for granted the deep links between our regions and that much more can be done to highlight the collaborations and partnerships that continue to bind us together. The Caribbean faces many challenges and Canada, and Canadians, continue to step up to work with partners there to address them. I make it my business to highlight the efforts of governments, business, education sector and the diaspora to continue to grow our bilateral relationship.
