Enterprise Backup and Messaging EngineerExtensive experience working the last 27 years in IT installing, managing, and upgrading both backup systems and messaging infrastructure. Backups - Evolved from local tape drives at each branch location, centralized tape backups in a library, backup up direct to disk, snapshot backups and backing up cloud resourcesMessaging - Evolved from MS-Mail to Exchange Online with all the Exchange versions. Installed an upgraded SPAM filtering software from McAfee E-Mail Gateway servers up to ProofPoint.During this time I worked for 4 different banks and assisted with the integration of the messaging and backup infrastructures. We acquired 21 other banks or companies to support the overall corporation. With these acquisitions I assisted in the conversions of their previous e-mail mailboxes from cc:Mail, GroupWise, Lotus Notes, Exchange on Prem or Exchange Online.Prior to getting into the financial industry, I was trained and went to college for Printing and Printing Management. During this time I learned about computers systems, networking, troubleshooting and maintenance of computers allowing me to get my initial job at Vermont Federal Bank. Because I estimated for printing jobs, it takes a visual understanding of process and procedures to know how to pull together a job and look at all the costs and materials needed to produce a product.
