With over 20 years professional experience within the IT sector, working mainly within telecommunications/ISP arena, providing consultancy, support, pre sales and design, coupled with a solid previous network operations and helpdesk background I have developed excellent communication skills and a very professional mannerism.I have a superb understanding of IT inter-networking from the physical requirements through to the logical configuration, that has enabled me to pick up complex project/designs and complete to the highest standard, with excellent documentation for confirmation of works completed and reference material for future referencing and support.Although my main duties have centred around providing design for WAN, LAN and Wi-Fi network services based on a customers specific business outcome, through both direct engagements and competitive procurement processes (RFP, ITT, frameworks etc.), I also have a strong knowledge of IP telephony and data centre / cloud services (Azure and AWS), obtained from both self study and hands on experience with my employers various service offerings.Over the past decade, given my unique position within my current employer I have also been in a position to perform product development, creating reference architectures that are well defined and easily repeatable, suiting the service provider model, build once, deliver many.I strive to fully understand technology stacks to a level, that allows me to then communicate technical information to both technical and less technical audiences, ensuring that any customer engagement, no matter an individual's technical competence, that they are able to fully understand the service and its respective business outcome, allowing them to make much better informed decision making choices.Excellent working knowledge of Cisco (Enterprise and Meraki), HPE Aruba and Fortinet products, ranging from routing, switching and Wi-Fi through to security products and associated management platforms, obtained from years of hands on experience and many years of self study to achieve a plethora of vendor certifications.
