There are two things I have been passionate about as long as I can remember. The art of the deal and the freedom of flying. I have had the fortune of pursuing both of these things my entire life. I was raised in an aviation family. My parents ran an FBO, flight school, maintenance shop, and aircraft dealership since before I was born. I soloed in a 1974 Piper Warrior on the morning of my 16th birthday, hours before getting my Kentucky driver's license on the same day. I earned money for college by setting up an aircraft detailing business on my parent's home field. More than 20 years later, I am still in love with aviation. My wife calls me the "Encyclopedia Brown" of airplanes because there doesn't seem to be a make and model I can't talk about with ease. I guess come by it honestly.In addition to airplanes, I love creating win-win scenarios for people. There is no greater rush for me than to connect all the dots in a negotiation where everyone walks away happy. I live for helping my clients achieve their aircraft goals, whether that's helping them get out of a plane at the right price or helping them get into one that checks all the boxes for their needs. Leading a family business into the future is a responsibility I take very seriously. My wife and I work together to run AirMart with the highest standards of ethics and professionalism.   As Director of Sales and Acquisitions, my primary job is to stay one step ahead of the general aviation marketplace. Understanding what airplanes can be bought and sold for is critical for an inventory dealer. It's not unusual for me to follow a specific airplane for years before listing or acquiring it. I spend the majority of my day talking with aircraft owners and tracking market trends for the makes and models we specialize in. My other management functions include daily direction of our Sales Executive Team, supporting our Director of Maintenance, and treasury management. I enjoy working directly with customers, so I also represent several of my own listings. This gives me the opportunity to demonstrate a wide variety of aircraft and to stay in touch with the needs of both buyers and sellers. I may work hard every day, but it's hardly like work when you get to do what you love.
