I am a graduate of The University of Iowa with a BA in Cinema with Minors in Music and News and Media Literacy. I intend to get a career in visual media production. I am a native of Davenport, Iowa. I attended Assumption High School and graduated in 2019. During my time at The University of Iowa, I was a trumpet player in the Hawkeye Marching Band for five years. Being a part of this talented group of musicians has taught me teamwork, problem-solving, and time management. In addition to a normal musician in the band, I spent my last two years as a photographer for the HMB Media Team, working to capture the moments that make the HMB so special. In my last two semesters at Iowa, I also worked in the Production Unit in the School of Journalism and Mass Communications. The Production Unit is a group of students and faculty who work to ensure that students have the tools they need to succeed in the classroom. My main responsibility was as a remote camera operator for Daily Iowan TV, the student-run TV station on campus. Over the summer of 2023, I was also part of a group of students performing work in the two buildings which house the JMC School. This included building, painting, woodworking, cleaning, moving, and overall handiwork to get the buildings ready for classes in the fall. In my last semester at Iowa, I also worked at the Equipment Checkout Desk for JMC. This included many aspects of general customer service while fulfilling student rentals for all kinds of audio-visual equipment. In my free time, I enjoy railroad photography and videography. This hobby has been extremely rewarding and has allowed me to refine my skills outside of class. I enjoy traveling to different locations all over the Midwest documenting unique railroad operations. My railroad videos can be found on my YouTube channel and my photos have been featured in railroad magazines and corporate calendars of local railroads. In addition to all that, I am an Eagle Scout, enjoy biking, and love skiing. My ideal career would be working in media production, either in social media related work or in a live environment such as TV. Thank You for visiting my profile!
