As the Linde Family Head of Community and Studio Art, I oversee the administration, development, implementation and evaluation of Museum of Fine Art Community Arts programming, including the following: the Museum’s Community Arts Initiative, which is an ongoing collaboration with long-term partnering organizations serving youth and families; MFA Artful Healing, a program providing museum-related arts activities in healthcare settings; the Museum’s Artful Adventures program, serving groups of children and youth from a wide range of organizations at the MFA and also including MFA -led studio arts programming presented at community sites; and new collaborative community projects as they develop. I also oversee the successful completion of community-based art exhibitions, including the selection process for visiting artists, working closely with a variety of museum departments on exhibition scope, design, and installation. I work with Education staff in the development and implementation of annual Education-related exhibitions for the Courtyard Gallery. I oversee the administration, development, implementation, and crafting of program policies and evaluation of ongoing studio arts programs for youth, families, and adults. I prepare, administer, report on, and implement budgets for Studio and Community Arts programs. Oversee the preparation of statistical information on program finances and attendance. Conduct regular evaluation and annual resource assessment and review of the Studio Art Class program.Develop promotional strategies for all studio and community arts programs in collaboration with Communications. Oversee the integration of Studio and Community Art -related ticketing/registration initiatives on MFA website, MFA printed materials and direct marketing, including email.
