Robert “Ascend” Walker, was introduced to music with his first drum set at age five. Born into a family of church goers, he was nine years old when he began filling in for the church drummer. After spending his teen years in marching bands, it was after receiving a pair of drum sticks from his fathers friend Godfather of Soul percussionist Spike Nealy his interest in music changed. After spending one year in college, writing news stories and taking pictures for the schools newspaper, he caught the DJ vibe and became a true MC at local clubs and parties. He has participated and has been involved with numerous charity and community outreach programs. He has worked with On The Rise Radio as a on air personality & DJ and worked with the On The Rise media mentorship program. To date DJ Ascend has worked with artist like Mo Pain, Ca$hout, La Da Boomman, Trouble, Paris Gatlin, Future, 2Chainz and many more. He has also participated in events such as the I Am Music Tour, A3C, and the Aspire Hoops N Hip Hop tour.He is currently the official DJ for EDM/Pop artist Zoey Clarke and is the Founder/CEO of The Black Coven Firm.
