I hold the responsibility of development and execution of our family agency's marketing and advertising budget. This includes securing a positive status within social media, community relations, and business development. I bring to our agency a long and short term business plan with specific target dates of completion. Trouble shooting and finding a way to get things done along with excellent communication skills are my main focal points and strengths. Sales of life insurance products is also one of my primary interests and continual annual objectives.

My association with this organization has led me to become the Kidney Patient Ambassador for Pennsylvania. As a result of being a caregiver to my adult son in the journey through kidney disease, dialysis, finding a kidney donor, transplant and now post transplant, I want to extend my knowledge and acquired expertise to others with the intent of making their personal experience much easier.My interaction with the AAKP has helped me and my family through their multiple resources and educational opportunities over the past several years. In June, 2018, I spoke at their National Kidney Patient Conference held in St. Petersburg, Florida. My topic was "The Up's and Down's of Caregiving". I provided tips to caregivers of kidney disease patients. More recently, September 2020, I presented virtually at the 2020 National Patient Meeting on "Taking Time For the Caregiver".

Greater Pittsburgh Area

Volunteer position focusing on raising awareness and advocating for Kidney Disease Awareness. It is important for me to give back to my community and help others effected with kidney disease having experienced this illness as a parent who's son received a living donor transplant from a non-related individual in November 2015. My skills in communication and marketing enabled me to find his donor and I want to help others in the same situation complete their journey with kidney disease. Creativity, education, and community service are my goals to raising awareness.The National Kidney Foundation has provided me multiple opportunities to achieve my goals in raising awareness. I am the Pennsylvania advocate on their Kidney Advocacy Committee. In addition, I am the immediate past regional leader for this same committee which encompasses five eastern states.In 2017 I assisted the NKF in the development of their Big Ask Big Give campaign which is designed to help individuals find living kidney donors. It was a great honor to help in delivery of this program to a large group of patients and caregivers who attended a seminar held at UPMC Starzl Transplant Institute, Pittsburgh, PA in early 2018. For the past three years I have also traveled to Washington, DC for the NKF Kidney Patient Summit, where I met with legislators asking for improvements to care for those with Chronic Kidney Disease. The NKF also has led me to participation in the Society To Improve Diagnosis In Medicine research project funded by PCORI. I successfully completed this research as a Patient Partner the year-long research study which aimed improve medical diagnosis by making it quicker and more accurate for individuals diagnosed with chronic illnesses.
