Robert Broad Email and Phone Number
I help companies optimise their processes and reduce costs. As a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineers, I am an experienced Chartered Chemical Engineer. I decided I needed to round myself with more general skills (to take the techie edge off!) so undertook an executive MBA, whilst working full time. This has helped to give me a balanced view of the engineering needs coupled with the overall business case, not just focusing on the best technical solution. I have become known as the person to come to with a difficult issue, relishing the challenge.Over the last 20 years I have worked with many major international players in diverse process markets, such as; oil & gas, gas processing, brewery, pharmaceutical and starch. Covering varied processes; fouling, evaporation, condensation and complete systems; and their improvements; from saving energy, troubleshooting, increasing up time and decreasing overall costs. I have authored several papers on heat exchanger optimisation in different applications. I have presented some of these, and other technical papers, to various organisations, and developed training packages for new internal company application rolls outs, which I have developed. When not working, I am busy with my young family, sailing and brewing beer.Specialties:CommissioningTroubleshootingHeat transfer - Evaporation systems, condensersProcess/ Chemical engineeringEnergyInternational businessBusiness strategyBusiness development
