Robert and his team have advanced Dell technologies such as Dell Active Power Controller (DAPC), NVMe (Express Flash), Dell Processor Acceleration Technology (DPAT), Redfish systems management, Dell’s leading Server Portfolio and have lead Dell’s early ARM proof of concepts. Along with leading investigations on advanced solutions from database to virtualization appliances and Iaas/PaaS…..Robert’s past design/architecture activities include IO peripheral designs, x86 (386, 486, Pentium, Pentium Pro, Pentium II) system design, BIOS, firmware, Application Software, and FPGA/ASIC design. Robert has participated in creation of multiple industry standards - VME, VXI, PCI, PXI, NVMe, SSDFF…..Robert is active giving back thru engagements with several Universities. He is on the University of Texas Computer Science Advisory Council, active at Texas A&M and Texas State Electrical Engineering Departments thru guest talks and participation as an industry judge for their senior design projects. Robert has a B.S. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and currently holds 11 patents.
