Created a historical society focused on the Coast Salish People. Fundraised to build infrastructure for the organization, and produced, and prepared several histories. Developed a podcast for future release, and then once SOPs and financial admin were in place, located an Indigenous cultural organization to take over long term management.

Creator, researcher, writer, and former co-host of the Pretendians Podcast on Canadaland.

Coordinated with 11 First Nations to draft a history of the village of qayqayt, wrote script and developed training materials using Thinkific, to accredit non-Indigenous staff to work at the site of this historic community.

NB: The LAC is a regulatory body created by the First Nations Lands Management ActReviewed and provided feedback on draft bylaws, land use proposals, additions to reserve, and development applications. Developed concept of expanding community sovereignty via proactive zoning across traditional territories. Drafted proposal on harmonization of bylaws and sharing of enforcement resources between neighbouring First Nations.

Experience Education Manages the experiential programs for ESL/FSL schools, universities, and colleges across Canada. We have a broad range of programs targeted at local university students, international students, and working holidaymakers.

Vancouver Internships manages the internship and co-op programs for language schools, career colleges, and public universities in Western Canada. Our firm has a broad focus - but stands out best when looking at the more difficult placements in engineering, IT, film, finance, and project management. We provide full service program management for our partner schools - including resume preparation, interview skills seminars, and placements in all fields.

When I started, this company occupied half a room in a Vancouver office tower. When I left, they were a multinational. I helped expand their product range and grew their direct business in Europe. I represented them at trade fairs abroad and eventually moved on to their Toronto office. There I, greatly expanded their business and took them to profitability within 3 months.

At this company I placed international students in internships and working holiday jobs across Canada. I conducted host company inspection and recruitment trips in Calgary, the Rockies, and Whistler - and I worked on helping the school pass through Cambridge (CIE) inspections.

I managed marketing and business development for a Toronto-area ESL school. I conducted overseas marketing trips for them in Western Europe, guided them through CAPLS (now Languages Canada) inspections, won government grants for them, and set up and operated their internship program.

Here I arranged co-op placements for international students. I took on the job as something like a consulting project, first establishing current levels of student satisfaction, performing a SWOT analysis on the job - and then fixing as much as I had control over and raising student satisfaction rates up to near 100%.

Taught English classes in Arona and Saronno in Greater Milan, and in Turin. Taught classes at the local college, with the Olympics committee, and for the Carabineri. Developed curriculum and exams for students at all levels.
