Currently the Community Development Coordinator for Alzheimer's Society in Cambridgeshire, my work involves raising awareness of the services available from our Dementia Support Team. I also work to increase understanding of dementia in the community and help reduce the stigma that can surround it. I have been trained as a Dementia Friends Champion and deliver Dementia Friends information sessions in the community to both health professionals and members of the public. I volunteered with The Norris Museum for five years, assisting at reminiscence sessions for those living with dementia, their families and carers.I have a BA (Hons) in Criminology from Anglia Ruskin University and gained valuable experience in the criminal justice system as a Police Support Volunteer with Cambridgeshire Constabulary. During this time I distributed advice to fraud victims and supported police officers' public order training.
