As part of a full-service law firm, I represent a wide variety of clients in litigation matters in state and federal court. My focus is on defending companies in toxic and mass tort litigation. I have experience defending manufacturers and distributors of generic pharmaceuticals in ANDA and Hatch-Waxman litigation in multiple jurisdictions. My courtroom experience includes first and second chair responsibility for numerous bench and jury trials. I also have extensive appellate experience having briefed and argued several cases to the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania and the Massachusetts Appeals Court.

Defended national and international companies in asbestos litigation, toxic tort and product liability claims. Engaged in proactive, aggressive defense strategies to achieve successful results on behalf of clients and insurers. Drafted pleadings and dispositive motions and engaged in extensive discovery for a large caseload of complex litigation matters.

I litigated product liability claims involving electrical distribution equipment, automobiles, appliances, commercial piping, metal halide lamps, medical devices and a variety of other products. I successfully resolved a multi-million dollar commercial dispute between a global engineering firm and the operator of a large landfill and recycling center. I managed construction litigation, premises liability, personal injury and property damage claims. My professional liability experience included defending lawyers, engineers and other professionals. I routinely conducted mediations and negotiated settlements on behalf of my clients. My work involved frequent collaboration with experts in a variety of highly technical fields and I counseled clients regarding litigation management and litigation avoidance strategies.

I independently managed a large caseload of medical malpractice, product liability, asbestos and bad faith claims against insurers. I successfully resolved medical malpractice cases as lead trial counsel and assisted in a dozen medical malpractice trials as second chair and lead associate. I conducted mediations and negotiated numerous settlements on behalf of my clients. In addition to my trial court experience, I also briefed and argued two cases before the Massachusetts Court of Appeals. The first involved the issue of product identification in an asbestos case and the second involved applying the statute of repose in a medical malpractice case.

I managed a large caseload of complex medical malpractice cases and assisted trial counsel in obtaining defense verdicts on behalf of doctors, nurses, hospitals and health care providers. I participated in multi-jurisdictional products liability action involving hormone replacement medication. Analyzed insurance coverage issues in cases involving multiple policies covering hospital employees.

I was responsible for a broad practice including commercial litigation, domestic relations, trusts and estates, personal injury, construction litigation and municipal law. In the courtroom, I successfully obtained defense verdicts as lead counsel in bench trials involving equipment leases and prevailed in an appeal before the Commonwealth Court of Pennsylvania regarding the constitutional and statutory rights of private elementary school children to transportation on public school buses. My municipal law experience involved represented individuals and developers in front of municipal boards to obtain permits and zoning relief as well as representing municipalities as solicitor. I represented clients at arbitration and participated as an arbitrator in the county-wide arbitration program.
