Planned and implemented a large scale 3D anthropometric survey of the UK offshore oil and gas workforce in order to inform the future design of infrastructure and equipment.The study required direct engagement with a large number of oil companies, the Civil Aviation Authority and the Health and Safety Executive. This provided the opportunity to network and communicate with senior management across the industry enabling the promotion of company buy-in and ensuring that the needs of all stakeholders were considered. Visiting and working within many industry locations including survival training centres, offices, health care providers and offshore installations provided a wider understanding of the oil and gas industry and its many facets.

Coordinating the Passenger Size Workgroup involved in the implementation of CAP 1145, a Civil Aviation Authority directive designed to ensure passengers travelling on offshore helicopters are compatible with emergency exit push-out window sizes.The workgroup is involved in the propagation of specialised measurement training to hundreds of industry professionals, along with coordinating the distribution of large quantities of measurement tools. The overall objective being that the oil and gas industry has the capability to measure its 60,000+ strong workforce in four months with minimal commercial disruption.
