I am an account management professional with more than 7 years of experience, and I'm proud that my position allows me to help people in need. Working in the leave of absence landscape at ReedGroup has allowed me to streamline processes related to federal and statutory leave laws, as well as necessary compensation when employees are unable to work for a period of time. Advising others as a team leader and helping to implement efficiencies has helped me set myself apart from others in my same position, and I'm happy to push others to do the same. I believe that leaves laws and salary continuation programs are beneficial to businesses in the long run, and well-structured and logical paths to leave approval can create substantial loyalty among employees at any company. That cultivation of loyalty starts with consistent messaging from leave of absence administrators and the broader HR team of a company, regardless of the industry. I'm pleased to consider myself a lifelong learner, and I take time to learn about statutory issues that may impact my clients. I'm particularly well-versed in leave regulations in California, New York, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. Further, my curiosity prompts me to go the extra mile for my clients, looking closer at their industry-specific cultural characteristics and implementing changes to my team's processes to align more fully with many of those industries. I understand that human resources teams vary in size and responsibilities across industries and companies, and I'm happy to work with a multitude of HR teams. I'm currently pursuing my Masters in Business Administration at the University of Arizona Global Campus, but I'm a burqueño at heart and proud graduate of The University of New Mexico (Go Lobos!) with an English Degree and Political Science minor. When I'm not working, I love to cook and do woodworking, and I happily share these passions with my two-year old son.
