Over 35 Yrs of recovery. I still believe I live ODAT ... (One Day At a Time) ... really just moment to moment. 11/16/84In 2008 I was asked to help a man with a start-up recovery home for men. I worked mainly as the Director of Spiritual Life. We set this up with one home then two. The man I helped in 2008 moved from the area in the spring of 2012.In January 2011 I sold my Flooring Businesses that I run for in this town over 20 yrs. Shortly after that I was named as the President of Serenity Beach House of Jensen Beach, Inc. A 501 c 3 not for profit. I started a new phase to help expand this in March of 2012. When Mike B. helped us start the Lincoln St. House @Serenity Beach House. In order to supplement my income because the Board of Directors job at Serenity Beach House took up so much time. I took a part time job as a driver for New Life Addiction Treatment Centers in the fall of 2012. I pick up some very physically sick people and make sure they get safely to the treatment facility whether they're coming in by plane train or bus. I have been clean and sober longer than most of these people have been alive. Also I have seen up close what an epidemic there is with heroin and other narcotics. As well as crack/cocaine along with these new designer synthetic drugs like Bath Salts, Ice, Molly's, and ( synthetic marijuana) called K2 or Spice. "Epidemic"In September of 2013 I founded and opened Martin Publishing Group, Inc. I have always wanted to write. So before I move on I have decided to try it. What is the worst that could happen? I also still have a great passion for photography which my wife and mother both say I should pursued a long time ago. I will now that I have a little more time to do so. Under Martin Publishing Group, Inc. I have started a DBA with Bobby R. called Audio Visual Recovery. With the way social media is today I believe we can reach everybody with the message.
