Serving as Vice President & Chief Technology Officer of Microsoft Dataverse (https://aka.ms/dataverse), Power Platform connectors, AI Builder, and its integrations with Microsoft Copilot & Copilot Studio.This includes insights derived from big data and event processing with low code (extended Dataverse with Insights Apps Platform), generative AI Copilots atop enterprise business data in Dataverse including Power Apps Copilot and connected enterprise systems (via Power Platform connectors). Furthermore, integration of AI Copilots over business data with Microsoft 365 Copilot, and zero-copy seamless integration with Microsoft Fabric.Microsoft Dataverse is composed of hundreds of micro services, manages underneath multiple million Azure SQL databases & Cosmos DB collections, many PBs of data, as well as several forms of managed auto-scaled compute, including Spark, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Machine Learning, Azure Open AI for AI copilot experiences, and computing insights and near real-time inferences for business apps.

Served as the Chief Technology Officer across all Insights Apps workloads atop Dataverse (such as Customer Insights, Spend Insights, Process Insights/Process Mining, Supply Chain Insights, and more), and as General Manager for the Insights Application Platform product engineering organization. Led as General Manager a globally distributed product & engineering organization providing the high-scale cloud services foundation for big data insights, real time insights, and AI-driven insights, that power multiple in-market & in-development Insights Apps cloud services. These business apps run atop & integrated with Dataverse (http://aka.ms/dataverse)

Served as the overall architect of the Dynamics 365 Insights Applications Group (e.g. Customer Insights), and led a small & mighty architect team, to transform customer engagement and product creation through the power of AI. This includes semantic understanding and reasoning over data powered by the Common Data Model, and high productivity data prep & enrichment experiences (e.g. Power Query) for gaining insights across data in cloud and hybrid/on-premises systems. This capability integrates into multiple large-scale SaaS and PaaS cloud services, including Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), Dynamics 365 Insights applications, Dataverse, Excel Power Query, and Azure Synapse Analytics.

Served as the chief architect for Microsoft's no-code/low-code Citizen Data Integration experiences, incorporated into a wide array of products and cloud services, including hybrid cloud connectivity: Power BI SaaS, Power BI Desktop, Power Query in Dataverse (for Dynamics 365), Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate), Azure Logic Apps, Analysis Services, Excel Power Query. Continued to lead Microsoft’s Common Data Model initiative across the company and partners.

* Architect of data connectors, hybrid cloud connectivity and data integration at PB scale for hundreds of cloud and on-premises data sources, integrated seamlessly across multiple large-scale Microsoft SaaS and PaaS services: Power BI, Dataverse, Power Query, Power Apps, Power Automate, Azure Logic Apps, Azure Analysis Services. The no-code hybrid connectivity keeps your data fresh by connecting to your on-premises data sources without the need to move the data, including real-time querying at massive scale, seamless cloud to on-prem SSO, data connector extensibility, clustering for high availability and load-balancing, etc.* Bootstrapped and led Microsoft's Common Data Model (CDM) initiative, which is a declarative specification and definition of standard entities that represent common concepts and activities across a variety of business & application domains. CDM is implemented in Dataverse, Dynamics 365 apps, Power Apps, Power BI Dataflows, Microsoft industry clouds.

Architect of Power BI Desktop: designed from the start combining Power Query, Power Pivot, Power View and led it to very successful and massive customer adoption.

Architected Power View standalone (aka Project Crescent), Power View in Excel and Excel Services, and SQL Server Reporting Services.

Led architecture, design and development of the data & report processing engine of SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power View, and Report Viewer in Visual Studio. More than ten patents granted/pending in the areas of database and business intelligence technologies.

Member of System Architecture group at max.mobil (acquired by Deutsche Telekom and rebranded as T-Mobile Austria), with focus on design & consolidation of the information systems architecture.
