• Maintain a case load of clients, providing direct substance abuse related services• Interview, intake and assess participants to determine level of care using standardized assessment tools• Prepare written assessments based on knowledge of participant’s background• Assist program participants with issues related to suicide, grief, loss and other crisis• Assist program participants in developing treatment plans • Coordinate with community agencies providing additional services• Provide individual, group and family services utilizing strength based and systems perspective • Work with community agencies in providing holistic service for participants needing mental health and other services • Administer and supervise urine testing to determine levels, and identify the use of illicit drugs• Maintain clinical treatment files as mandated by the Department of Alcohol and Substance abuse • Develop and facilitate community presentations, seminars and fairs relating to the current trends and dangers of substance abuse• Conducted educational classes for participants, utilizing a variety of techniques, formats and media, including lecture, discussion, experiential, and audio/video presentation • Facilitate treatment planning presentation for agency wide staff • Manage an office, supervise 4 substance abuse counselors and 3 interns• Provide clinical supervision and training to staff and interns• Advocated on behalf of program participants within schools and courts • Testify in court as required by court order subpoenas• Supervise participant files to ensure proper file management as mandated by monitoring agencies and rule 2060• Compile and generate monthly/annual reports • Maintain presence in community committees and task force• Prepare weekly staff meetings to plan/coordinate services for program participants • Prepare files for audits by the Department of Human Services
