*Updated 8/1/2024*I am currently a MA student in International Security at the Schar School of Policy and Government, George Mason University. I am also working on a certificate in Terrorism and Homeland Security. My area of research is political radicalization and extremism with specific focus on the ideological causes of the phenomenon, such as religion, populism, and nationalism. In 2020, I completed a certificate in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) at the University of Denver. I have an MA in International Studies with a Certificate in Religion and International Affairs and a concentration in 3 fields (Security Studies, Intelligence Studies, and Quantitative Analysis) from Josef Korbel School of International Affairs, University of Denver. At Korbel, I focused on asymmetrical conflict, violent non-state actors, terrorism, and religiously motivated political participation. My regional focus is the Middle East and the United States, and I have introductory proficiency in Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian and Levantine dialects. Along with schoolwork, I have worked as an RA/TA for Dr. David Goldfischer, and a RA/Coder for the Major Episodes of Contention project under Dr. Erica Chenoweth. Outside of academia, I spent time as an intern for Churches for Middle East Peace (CMEP) doing work as a political landscaper. I am originally from Indianapolis, IN, and graduated from Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis (IUPUI) with a BA in Political Science and a minor in Religious Studies.
