Lecturer And Course LeaderRobert Gordon University 1994 - 2009Aberdeen, United KingdomI was at Robert Gordon University (RGU) for 15 years where I worked in the Marketing department of the Business School and was Course Leader for the MSc International Tourism Management. In addition, I made a significant contribution to the development of both the UG and the PG courses, as well as to the successful growth of student numbers to the MSc course. Upon arriving at RGU from Switzerland one of the first tasks required of me was to develop a tourism undergraduate programme. As such I was responsible for writing the modules, the module content as well as leading the development, research and administration through to a successful validation. The course is now a very successful and profitable contributor to Aberdeen Business School’s portfolio. Following on from the success of the under graduate course I was in charge of developing an MSc/PGdip course in International Tourism Management. Within two years of the launch of this course we developed an Open Learning (on line) version and I was Course Leader for both the Full Time and the Open Learning programs. -
