CurrentSalsify was founded to help brands adapt to the major shift in marketing & commerce, which is that consumers are now in charge of when, where, and how they shop, as well as what media and advertising they're exposed to. Traditional brand marketing and trade execution are no longer sufficient in the world of the algorithm. We built Salsify to help brands win in this new world of the digital shelf, where brand marketing & commerce are increasingly merged into one seamless experience.Our mission is to empower brand manufacturers to deliver the product experiences consumers demand at every point in their buying journey. Recently and for about 5 years I was CMO. But since 2012, as a co-founder I have done everything from HR to helping keep the books to office management, in addition to writing Ruby on Rails code to build the initial product, building and managing the website and inbound marketing strategy, bootstrapping the initial go-to-market team and campaigns, creating demos and videos, forging relationships with key retail partners, developing prototypes to test market assumptions, and really anything that must be done to make this company successful.
