My track record at Meadow Brook Hall highlights my very broad-based skill set, particularly in the areas of budget, financial planning, accounting and forecasting. Prior to Oakland University I acquired over fifteen years experience working in finance, accounting, budgeting and management. During this time, I was involved in stock trading; bond and mutual fund transactions; investment performance analysis; creating individual and corporate financial plans; working one on one with clients; internal audit; budget development and analysis; accounting; and many other functions in the financial arena. Since the onset of my employment at Meadow Brook Hall, I have been given the opportunity to play a key role in developing and implementing the business model for the Hall, which has been extremely successful, and resulted in very positive financial performance. Specifically I am responsible for: managing sales, analyzing all revenues and expenses, budget preparation and presentation for the Board of Trustees, pro forma financial statements for the Matilda R. Wilson Fund reporting and advancement, strategic proforma plans for future Meadow Brook expansion, Financial Performance Review Committee reporting, Departmental Budget implementation and analysis, financial and budget analysis of volunteer activity, management of retail sales, database, information technology, policies, procedures, liquor control, cash handling, marketing for museum and facility rental activity, community relations and special community events, customer service and more. Since joining the Hall's team in 2005, I am proud to manage the business model.Finally as a member of the executive team, I have been extensively involved in the development of a strategic plan, branding/identity initiatives, and building a preservation and conservation endowment.
