Train Second-Grade teachers on the Gifted Child Find process and procedures. Facilitate GRST, EDT, and GEP meetings. Enter all gifted referral information/documents into SETSWEB. Compile data for the state Second-Grade Gifted Child Find report. Compile a Gifted eligibility summary report for the current school year.

Identify gifted students; manage all gifted education records, including creation/implementation of Gifted Education Plans for 150+ students in Grades 6-8; deliver advanced instruction to gifted students; order instructional materials and supplies; manage operational budget; seek grants and funding sources; build parent/community/business partnerships; sponsor robotics, scholars bowl, Junior United Nations, competitive technology, and stock market teams; consult with general education teachers; provide professional development to administrators and faculties; recipient of Invest in the Future grant; follow federal, state, and local laws, policies, and guidelines pertaining to gifted education

Provide advanced instruction to gifted students in Grades 3-6; identify gifted students; create and monitor Gifted Education Plans; implement and supervise opportunities for student academic competitions; serve as a consultant to general education teachers of gifted students; act as a liason between home and school; train teachers on second grade Child Find procedures; stay abreast of gifted education instructional strategies; trainer of Managing Crisis Safely; recipient of The University of Alabama Teaching with Technology Merit Award

Supervise gifted education teachers in 53 schools; provide professional development to gifted ed specialists, faculties, and administration; conduct webinars; order materials and supplies; create and manage gifted ed budget; monitor gifted referral processes and chair eligibility decision team meetings; facilitate improvement plans; organize and conduct systemwide academic competitions; assist with school system award ceremonies; assure adherence to federal, state, and local laws and policies pertaining to gifted education
