Senior Vice President, Macy'S Parade & Entertainment Group
Managed a staff of over 160 people at Macy's Corporate Office in New York, the Parade Studio in New Jersey and in regional offices in seven regions nationwide, producing over 1,500 events annually. The MPEG portfolio included the Emmy-Award winning broadcast of Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks, which is also seen nationally on NBC. MPEG also produced Macy's Annual Spring Flower Shows in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Minneapolis, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. as well as "Glamorama," a spectacular four-city tour of fashion fundraisers featuring chart-topping musical stars like Bruno Mars and Robin Thicke. My group also oversaw the legendary Wanamaker Organ in Center City Philadelphia. The largest pipe organ anywhere in the world, it was dedicated in 1911 and has been played at least twice every day since. Macy's has fully restored the magnificent console and the elegant organ cage, and supports a curatorial staff that oversees a group of apprentices that are supported in their work by the Friends of the Wanamaker Organ.
