    Purpose Of PositionReporting to the Senior Programme Quality Engineer; responsible for monitoring, analysing and improving all aspects of Quality Assurance in accordance with company processes. • Performing programme audits at sub contractors to ensure that the appropriate systems are in place and interfaces are defined.• Attendance at selected reviews in accordance with agreed plans, including reviews at sub contractors. • Review of programme plans and documents including sub contractor produced documents. • Ensure that sub contracted activities such as design and development and production are undertaken in accordance with the sub contracted requirements.• Ensure that Non-conforming products, services and processes are investigated and effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.• Promote quality awareness within programmes.• Prepare quality reports, for internal and external purposes.• Undertake analysis of non-conformances to establish trends and root cause analysis.• Represent GD Quality Assurance at Supplier meetings as required. • Liaison with peers in other support functions as appropriate to the Operational Quality Activity areaResponsibilities• Plan regular Material Review Board Activities to ensure that Root Cause Analyses (RCA) of all nonconforming (NC) material is carried out to determine its disposition and instigate corrective action. • Monitor the Corrective Actions to ensure that they are completed in accordance with agreed timescales.• Take immediate action to ensure that the effect of any Non-Conformity on other product or processes is contained. • Inspection, review and approval of supplier delivered hardware and documentation including First Article Inspection Reports and End Item Data Packs.• Monitoring of existing subcontractors to ensure that sub contracted activities such as design/ development and production are undertaken in accordance with the sub contracted requirements.
