Purpose Of PositionReporting to the Senior Programme Quality Engineer; responsible for monitoring, analysing and improving all aspects of Quality Assurance in accordance with company processes. • Performing programme audits at sub contractors to ensure that the appropriate systems are in place and interfaces are defined.• Attendance at selected reviews in accordance with agreed plans, including reviews at sub contractors. • Review of programme plans and documents including sub contractor produced documents. • Ensure that sub contracted activities such as design and development and production are undertaken in accordance with the sub contracted requirements.• Ensure that Non-conforming products, services and processes are investigated and effective corrective and preventive actions are implemented.• Promote quality awareness within programmes.• Prepare quality reports, for internal and external purposes.• Undertake analysis of non-conformances to establish trends and root cause analysis.• Represent GD Quality Assurance at Supplier meetings as required. • Liaison with peers in other support functions as appropriate to the Operational Quality Activity areaResponsibilities• Plan regular Material Review Board Activities to ensure that Root Cause Analyses (RCA) of all nonconforming (NC) material is carried out to determine its disposition and instigate corrective action. • Monitor the Corrective Actions to ensure that they are completed in accordance with agreed timescales.• Take immediate action to ensure that the effect of any Non-Conformity on other product or processes is contained. • Inspection, review and approval of supplier delivered hardware and documentation including First Article Inspection Reports and End Item Data Packs.• Monitoring of existing subcontractors to ensure that sub contracted activities such as design/ development and production are undertaken in accordance with the sub contracted requirements.

- Customer Quality Representative for all Defence & Aerospace customers within the business;- Ensure compliance to customer quality requirements within Security Aspects Letters;- Ensure compliance to AS9100;- Liaise with customers on complaint and return status, as well as communicate in process quality concerns to establish acceptability; - Completion of 8D and Corrective Action Reports for customer complaints;- Internal investigations into root cause and preventive action for internal defects (continuous improvement); - Creation and maintenance of Quality Management Plans to reflect requirements within customer Statements of Work;- Co-ordination of Root Cause Analysis activities as a team based activity;- Lead improvement activities within areas identified as wasteful within the business in line with Six Sigma Green Belt training;- Generation of AS9102 FAIR documentation for outgoing products;- Responsible for ESD compliance within the business to BS EN 61340;- Supporting Incoming Materials Control Department with streamlining of processes and improvement within the area;- Support of customer audits and general visits within the business;- Leading internal audits;- Supporting internal or supplier audits;- Perform gap analysis and co-ordinate gap closure for industry standards and customer documentation;- Participate in FMEA workshops within the business to review and address identified risks;- Support in maintaining QMS (Q-Pulse) uploading new documents and revision changes.
