Senior Analyst: Provided taxpayers and congressional clients with in-depth and accessible analyses of a variety of federal government programs with the goals of identifying cost-savings, inefficiencies and remedies, and best practices. To meet these objectives, I assessed departmental and agency budgets, program management, operations, strategic plans, including the development and implementation of performance measures, and federal legislation. Specifically, I developed and implemented qualitative and quantitative methodologies; created tailored written and interactive products, including congressional testimonies; and built productive relationships and teams with internal and external senior government officials and program practitioners. Key Results:+A significant contributor to 11 GAO reports with 51 recommendations and 4 matters for congressional consideration aimed at improving federal government programs spanning education, facility and border security, user fees, law enforcement, and immigration+Significant contributor to the GAO-17-438 multi-disciplinary team, who produced complex legal and data analyses, resulting in 11 recommendations for resolving long-standing management challenges in the U.S. immigration court system+Prepared testimonies and briefings for congressional clients in addition to working with clients and agencies to identify needed follow-on work+Coached and mentored analysts in applying GAO auditing practices and evidentiary standards, developing appropriate methodologies, and establishing collaborative internal and external relationships +An adept interviewer, I developed targeted interview questions, built and maintained rapport with officials, and quickly synthesized new information to gather key information from officials +Earned numerous performance awards, including recognition for contributing to the 2008 GAO presidential transition team+Maintained an active SECRET clearance
