I met with local officials, performed program and compliance audits, compiled analysis and contributed to reports issued to Congress. In Arlington Virginia headquarters I served on the Forensic Audit team and assisted the Investigations directorate. I created a special project that was later utilized by a multi-agency task force including including IRS, FBI and Army CID to whom I provided analysis and briefings. I was awarded to serve as liaison to FinCEN, the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network. The project I developed resulted in 51 open criminal investigations and contributed to the ANHAM audit and investigation, resulting in questioned DOD contract expenditures of over $300 million.

Duties included reviewing grantee and subgrantee compliance with Stafford Act, audit of FEMA expenditures on projects over $5 million. Awarded Lead Auditor position on Hancock County Medical Center, I facilitated meetings with sub-grantees, FEMA personnel and State officials and discovered over $860,000 in misappropriated spending of FEMA funds. I negotiated settlement with sub-grantees and FEMA officials to reach reasonable solution without causing harm to the overall hospital reconstruction.
