• Responsible for supervising and guaranteeing weekly and bi-weekly disbursement of multi-state payroll to 5,000+ union and non-union employees, ensuring that the company is in compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws. • Appointed Administrator in the implementation of the Progressive Waste Solutions conversion from ADP to Ultimate Software Payroll (UltiPro) for HRIS and payroll processing.• Critically review and analyze current, benefits and tax procedures in order to recommend and implement changes leading to best-practice operations.• Accountable for supervising, training and educating a team of 4 payroll administrators and 1 payroll clerk in the processing and reconciliation of a multi-state payroll processing corporation. • Liable for maintaining that the payroll administrators are in compliance with the company policies and assisting with questions and concerns within the department. • Effectively streamlined policy and procedures in the field and central office increasing efficiency while reducing processing timelines.• The final approval for all hourly payrolls and the first payroll approval for salary payrolls. • Ensure the processing of new hires; temporary employees, transfers, promotions and terminations are accurate and processed in a timely manner. • Responsible for all tax reconciliation, processing and researching all tax notices. • Research unclaimed wages due diligence letters, reissues and providing the accounting department with the information needed to report all unclaimed wages to the proper state agency. • Ensure that the department is operating on track with year- end processing by maintaining files, produce yearly pay schedule/deadline calendars for employees.

• Provide management with timely and accurate reports detailing payroll activities such as hourly rates totals, employee paid time off, reimbursement of expenses, deductions of company advancements and various other payroll data. • Keep track of eligible employees for quarterly and yearly bonuses. • Respond to information requests including direct deposits, new hire and referral bonuses, accumulated time off and other payroll-based requests as needed by inputting data generating daily payroll sheets. • Verify company logs for correctness, in order to reduce violations according to state and federal laws. • Handle the submissions for pay rate job accuracy for company employees. Maintain attention to detail for a zero error tolerance environment. • Experienced and proficient with various payroll programs and software.
