This is a new position in organization focused on strategy, review, design and implementation of CIO program areas. I have listed just a few of my responsibilities.* Co-lead Forest Service M-15-14 ITMMM Submission* USDA FITARA Specialist for Program Management* Communications Co-lead Masthead Migration* As a founding member of the CIO Women's forum I have taken on many roles. I am the Assistant program manager for development and implementation of the CIO Mentoring program. Program Manager for development and implementation of CIO Women's Forum Shadowing program. * Designer, development and implementation lead for the CIO Employee Locator application. This is a tool to assist all employees to locate CIO staff using a geospatial map by location, branch or name.

* Core team member of the CIO Realignment project. This was a three year project focused on reorganizing the 700+ virtual staff. Projects included:* Development of the Change Management training program. Developed training manuals and presentation materials. * One of a few trainers for the Change Management program. We trained over 500 employees and leaders virtually in a four hour training session.* Development of the Customer Service Learning Journey (CSLJ) required for all CIO staff and managers. I selected working the national Research and Development branch of the Forest Service for my Executive Leadership Program developmental project. This was a nine month assignment however, four months was in a official detail. Working with the brilliant leadership and scientists of the Forest Service was an honor and a privilege. They gave freely of their time to educate me regarding their program of work to ensure that I could represent their needs well to the Chief Information Office. ♦ Collaborated with the Deputy Chief for Business & Operations, CIO, and Deputy CIO & CTO to develop business proposal identifying five immediate priorities and 15 technical issues that needed to be addressed by CIO♦ Presented to the Forest Service Research Executive Team (FSRET); Deputy Chief for Research; Associate Deputy Chief of Research; Chief Information Officer among others.♦ Interviewed 80+ R&D leadership, staff, contractors utilizing virtual tools or on-site visits ♦ After the analysis was completed I wrote a 50 page report detailing R&Ds unique technical needs. I proposed various solutions a few are: * Proposed beta test for Internet 2 (this provides a gig to terabyte data transmission speeds) over a private network, The project has been implemented at the Rocky Mountain Research Station (RMRS) and International Institute of Tropical Forestry. (IITF) * Researched and proposed procurement and deployment of Network Attached Storage (NAS) devices. This provide local storage for GIS and research data. I worked with the CIO & IITF to obtain funding and approval for NAS into the FS infrastructure* Proposed SharePoint as the social media providing internal & external collaboration* Worked with CIO and research to “write size” the computer needs for research
